A Letter from Board President Beth Moody

Beth Moody, VHCSF Board President, 2024-2025

A Letter from our President…

As we begin another school year, the Vestavia Hills City Schools Foundation (VHCSF) remains committed to helping the students in our school system achieve the highest levels of academic and personal success. I feel very fortunate to be part of this system.

Founded in 1996, VHCSF has awarded over $1,800,000 in grants to Vestavia Hills schools for technology upgrades, classroom enhancements, and professional development for our educators. These grants have been instrumental in the success and achievements of our schools and larger community.

It is critical for families in our schools, as well as other residents and businesses in our community, that our school system has the resources that are necessary to give students every opportunity for a bright and successful future. VHCSF’s mission is to provide financial support for such needs.

We live in a wonderful and giving community. There are several ways to become involved with VHCSF’s efforts, and all levels of giving are greatly appreciated.

The lifeblood of VHCSF, our endowment’s goal is to provide financial support to our school system through grants. The needs vary by year, but the mission is the same:

The Vestavia Hills City Schools Foundation exists to provide perpetual financial support to each of our schools and to protect and foster the standard of excellence in our school system, the cornerstone of our community.

I ask you to consider a one-time donation, multi-year pledge, or legacy testamentary gift to the endowment (all tax-deductible). Visit www.vestaviafoundation.org/giving to give online.

We typically have two fundraisers each year. Dinner & Diamonds will be held on March 1, 2025. This is a great event to socialize with people in the community, with a silent and live auction. There are a wide range of opportunities to support the event, including sponsoring the event, donating auction items, and simply attending! Pitch-In is a fundraiser held within each school. Students are empowered to raise money for their schools and be part of the effort to continue academic excellence for themselves and future students.

On behalf of the 2024-2025 Board of Directors, I invite you to actively participate with us to further the academic reach of our schools. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news and updates on VHCSF’s initiatives.

Thank you for your continued support!
